Mary Rossi

Mary Rossi was born Mary Cecil McCabe in Sydney, NSW, Australia to Jack McCabe and Hazel Attwood. In 1947 she married Theo Rossi, and together they would have ten children. In 1956, she auditioned for a new Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC) television series, "Women's World"; that was a television series featuring various segments of interest to women, including fashion, cooking, book reviews, running out of Sydney and Melbourne between 1956 - 1963. In 1964, Rossi made the decision to leave television to focus on her family. In the late 1960's, Rossi established Mary Rossi Travel, which concentrated on internal and overseas travel; leading to various awards. In September 2010, Theo passed away, with Mary passing away on 15 May 2021.
