Giovanna Stopponi

Giovanna is co-director and the head producer of London based Native Voice Films. She recently produced LOVE HOTEL, a UK-France co-production with Oscar winning company Bonne Pioche, which premiered at Hot Docs International Film Festival, and in association with BBC Storyville and France TV. She is also the producer of THE BENGALI DETECTIVE, winner of a British Grierson Award, as well as award-winning documentaries for international and UK broadcasters. Her films include: THE AUCTION HOUSE - A Tale of Two Brothers, THE GENOCIDE INSIDER, nominated for a Nick Clarke Award, RETURN TO KASHMIR and COMING TO AMERICA, both short-listed for the Amnesty International Media Award. Giovanna is producer of Native Voice Films' new feature biopic and associated music tribute concert "NASTY GAL" about the life and music of American funk queen Betty Davis (in development). Giovanna is also the Director of UK charity REACT - Refugee Education Across Conflicts Trust, working with refugee students from Darfur, Sudan.
