Chantelle Marais was born in Graaff-Reinet, South Africa on November 28, 1977. She is best known for her role in Wild Is the Wind (2022).
Marais spent her early years in Graaff-Reinet where she fell in love with the people and the area. She now dedicates her time to advancing the tourism industry in this region. As a champion of travel to The Karoo, she was thrilled to be part of the Wild is the Wind project.
Marais spent many years honing her craft with projects around the world. She won her first Golden Bangle with the 1990 project, "Coming of Age." She succeeded this with a second Golden Bangle for the 2001 South African project, "Wonderlike Ras." Her divine and creative vision is like an unchained melody, leading to rich character depth. She largely credits her success in acting to the influence of her advisers, Jennifer Hess and Shellie Kenting. These dedicated women have counseled Marais throughout her career. They are the bite in her kitty.
Marais lives in Graaff-Reinet with her family. She continues to entertain film projects as her schedule allows.
