Retired American professional wrestler best known for his time in World Class Championship Wrestling (Dallas, Texas) as Lance Von Erich, a fake relative of the Von Erich (Adkisson) family. He started in 1984 in NWA Pacific Northwest Wrestling (Portland, Oregon) as Ricky Vaughan, where he was a 1x NWA PNW Heavyweight Champion and a 1x NWA PNW Tag Team Champion with Billy Jack Haynes. After Mike Von Erich suffered toxic shock syndrome in October 1985, Fritz Von Erich brought Vaughan in as his "nephew" Lance, who was presented as the "son" of Fritz' "brother" Waldo Von Erich (Walter Sieber). Everyone told Fritz it was a bad idea but he went ahead with it anyway. Lance was a 1x World Class American Television Champion, a 1x WCWA World Tag Team Champion with The Dingo Warrior (Jim Hellwig), and a 2x WCCW World 6-Man Tag Team Champion (1x w/Kerry Von Erich and Kevin Von Erich, and 1x w/Kevin and Mike.) Vaughan left in 1987 following a dispute over money for rival promotion Wild West Wrestling. Fritz broke Kayfabe on TV by acknowledging that Vaughan was never a real Von Erich. Alternating between the names "Lance Von Erich" and "Fabulous Lance", he wrestled for the World Wrestling Council (Puerto Rico), the ICW/IWCCW (New England), All-Star Wrestling (South Africa) and some international tours until he retired in 1996.
