Ali Umair

Ali Umair is a documentary filmmaker based out of Toronto, Canada. His documentaries are inspired by social change, growth and development, and he has collaborated with organizations such as the UNDP, GIZ, BCI and others to create groundbreaking films on human potential. His latest work as Narrative Director is the official documentary on the life and times of Dr. Jean Augustine, Canada's first black female parliamentarian and one of the most recognized Canadians in the world today.
