Sol León

Spanish dancer, choreographer and director born in Cordoba. After graduating at the National Ballet Academy of Madrid, she went to The Hague in 1987 to join the Nederlands Dans Theater. She danced many works by masters of choreography like Jirí Kylián, Hans van Manen, Mats Ek, Nacho Duato and Ohad Naharin, until she stopped dancing in 2003 to become the house choreographer for NDT alongside Paul Lightfoot. Together they have created for the company nearly 60 pieces, for which they received prestigious dance awards. She left the company in 2020 to artistic director Emily Molnar.
