Biography

Anju Prakash is a theater and film actress based in the San Francisco Bay Area in California, USA. Throughout high school and college, Anju was a regular mainstage performer and won many competitive awards for her acting. After moving to the Bay, she rekindled her passion for theatre and has since performed under the banner of all major South-Asian theater companies locally. Anju also had the privilege of being directed by Ranjita Chakravarthy of "Never Have I Ever" fame in Rabindranath Tagore's "The Kingdom of Cards". Anju played the role of Miss Clubs in this classic Tagore play. "Madhavi" (2022), written and directed by Jacintha Charles, is Anju's debut in a short film. During the pandemic in 2020, Anju also performed in Sindu Singh's "Suprabhatam", a short movie that was very well-received and enjoyed by audiences globally.
