He is a multi-talented vocalist who was born and raised in Dallas, TX. His drive, focus, and tenacity have led him to become a relentless and emerging force in the independent circuit. As an artist, Chaz Roi is the epitome of a resilient fashion-savvy, superstar who delivers a one-of-a-kind electric experience that fuses the facets of Rock, Pop, Funk, Lo-fi Hip-hop, and R&B into an original and distinct sound. He grew up listening to Soul, Gospel, R&B, and Hip Hop and later evolved his scope by closely studying the icons of Punk and Rock and various other genres. He turned to music as the vehicle by which to express himself and began to articulate his emotions, thoughts and to fully express his truest self. This has led him to become a Topline songwriter who is honest, raw, and topical and he infused his lyrics with sexy and fun nuances. He has a background deeply rooted in music as he was an integral part of the Grand Junction musical world in the early 2000s and over his career, he has shared the stage with renowned icons such as AfroMan, Flobots, CeCe Peniston, EnVouge, The Village People, Royal Bliss, Zolopht and Tia Carrere . He uses his experiences and musical acumen to create a unique sound. This all culminates in Chaz Roi producing an enjoyable, easygoing musical experience. That is authentic and grounded in reality. His overarching ambition is to become a pivotal artist in the industry and to be a successful Black and Gay Rock artist. He also wants to impact lives through his music and to create a legacy that's different unique and memorable. Chaz Roi has on was one of Top 125 vocalist, who where invited to live Auditions of Season 2 of "The Voice" as well as a U.S. Virgin Island Talent Search Show known as " Icon of The Island " that airs in the Caribbean, France, Puerto Rico, and the other points of interest in the Atlantic region. He was also a Featured Soloist at Carnegie Hall, NYC with Tia Carrere a highlight moment that cemented King Chaz Roi's upward trajectory. He was also a Featured Artist on the "Animals Get Funky" Album which was a resounding success and garnered a pick by RMPBS to be aired as a Kids TV Series. Chaz is featured as an Artist/Actor in the upcoming Pilot as well as 4 episodes. In 2020 he was recognized for his extraordinary work and received a nomination for the Alaska Hip Hop/R&B Male Vocalist of the Year Award.
