My name is Elliot Chilingirian and I am currently 35 years of age.
I have a full and interesting life to date (I bet your thinking that most people say that huh!) But listen to this: Between the ages of 18-21 I Duty managed two gyms and Represented England in Kickboxing and placed 3rd in Europe under the Full Contact W.U.M.A governing body; I also represented South London in Thai Boxing, but sadly lost most of my competitions in Muai Thai/Thai Boxing :-(
Between the ages of 22-27 I Worked Seasons (I'll explain it in a Timeline of Years) It will be easier that way:
The winter Months of 2009-2010, I worked 7 days a week as a DoorMan at different venues in Val D'isere from Aprés Bars to Night Clubs and skied and snowboarded (I do both; and yes I can very easily do Black runs. I ride switch too. I am right foot forward on a snowboard (Known as a Goofy rider) therefore I ride with my left foot forward a lot of the time just to mix things up and push myself; because as the saying goes. You only better yourself once outside of your comfort zone. And Boy O' Boy is that true).
The Summer months of 2009-2010 I was a Kickboxing coach in Sivota-Greece. A beautiful little quaint fishing village which has a lot of fitness retreats going on there.
Winter of 2010-2011 I repeated the above but got hired by new venues to work at their Aprés Bars too
Summer of 2011-2012 I repeated the above
Winter of 2011-2012, once again the same as above
Summer of 2012-2013, I totally changed my job and asked a friend of mine if i could work in his restaurant as a waiter as I simply loved village that much and wanted to feel more of a local their. Because although it was great working as a kickboxing coach in a fitness retreat I only ever dealt with wealthy English people. Burt now i wanted something different; I wanted to be part of the true local community. My friend (Mert) hired me as a waiter and I then worked for and served not just wealthy English families/couples/individuals, but I learnt the very basics of the language, in reading/writing/and speaking. A lot of it has gone now as I don't practise it that often (My Dad is an Armenian Cypriot, and his first language is Armenian, then Greek, then Turkish, then English! He's one clever son of a gun :-))
Winter 2013-2014, more of the same above.
Summer 2014-2015 I worked in Ibiza (all around the Island) as I got head hunted and asked to work for a friend of mine who owns a CP (Close Protection company) and worked for numerous Celebs/VIP's/Wealthy individuals in most of the venues (Beach bars/Day events/Night events/and the rest). Both daytime and night-time.
2015-2016 (At that date I was 27) I moved back to England and did a Access to Higher Education for Paramedic Studies course in Kingston College to get the grades I needed to be able to get into University to study and become a Full-time Front Line NHS Paramedic.
2016-2018 I was a Student Paramedic at Oxford Brookes University
2018-2020 I worked as a Full-time NHS Paramedic out of Oxfordshires Kidlington Ambulance Station. Saving lives, delivering babies, and working closely with many amazing NHS staff.
2020-to date, I am currently a Full-time HART (Hazardous Areas Response Team) Paramedic; feel free to look us up on Google as there's a lot to say here! But long story short. Our job is to get to any patient anywhere. The examples I always give are:
1/ If a crane operator has a stroke/heart attack/or goes into Cardia Arrest but the lift has broken. A paramedic needs to be able to get to him to ultimately do whatever life saving interventions we can to save him/keep him alive until we can get him/her to hospital where the Drs and Nurses will do the rest. Therefore we are qualified and use multiple extra equipment to be able to get to anyone anywhere. Ian this instance it would be SWaH (Safe Working at Heights) meaning we can climb up the crane using very specialist techniques.
2/ Fast flowing water - If somebody/people are sick in their car in fast flowing water and are scared to open the door/get out. We need to be able to get to them safely and get them to a place of safety.
3/ ICE incidents (This is a sad one). If you are not medically trained you will be thinking of ICE as in frozen water! But your wrong. ICE stands for Individual Chemical Expose (AKA Chemical Suicides!) For this we dress up in our PPE which looks like a fireman but we have 2 air cylinders on our back (Its officially called air and not oxygen, because its simply not that! And if you go anywhere near a fire with pure oxygen on your back...guess what!...Anyway I digress...) We dress up as firemen and then get zipped into a GTS (Gas Tight Suit) meaning that we can enter any dangerous/hazardous area and drag/get the patient/body into a cleaner/clean air environment where we can "work on the patient"
Anyway enough typed/said. If you are interested in either learning more about what HART does (Feel free to google it) or if you are interested in hiring me to be part of your next film. Then please please P-L-E-A-S-E go onto my Instagram account of Thedancinparamedic (All 1 word, and Dancing spelt without the G) You will see and learn more about me that way too as I put out daily content. And you will see what I am capable of doing that way ;-))
Wishing you a Healthy and Happy life ;-)
