Studied music then French Lit and Theatre Arts at Sussex University, staging, acting in and producing plays at the Gardiner Centre theatre and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. . Became a journalist, first as freelancer in Spain, then foreign editor at CBC News, then award-winning war correspondent, based in Managua (CBC, BBC, The Times, NPR...), filing 3,000 reports and documentaries from 15 countries. . Re-joined CBC in 1990, became Montreal Bureau Chief, CBC TV News (1998-2000) . Then: 16 years in business communications; last six as Director of Communications at the Canadian Human Rights Commission. . Since 2016, in Sicily and Bordeaux, have written two novels, a feature film screenplay - (action-drama - 95 minutes), plus: .
