Samuel J. Punto

Samuel Punto is a high school student in Bad Nauheim, Germany. He has written, acted in, and filmed his own ideas since his childhood, focusing on the use of analog film since 2019. His first short film, THE CYCLE, won the Special Jury Award at the Visionale19 in Frankfurt, Germany, as well as Second Prize at the German National Youth Film Festival. His second short film, Verzerrung (Distortion), has started a remarkable festival run including multiple nominations and awards for Best Young Filmmaker and Best Experimental Short at festivals on three continents.
