Christiane Schmidt

Christiane Schmidt is a historian at Mendelssohn-Haus Leipzig. The house contains the last (and only surviving) private residence of the composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. The Mendelssohn House now houses a museum in honor of Mendelssohn. It was opened on 4 November 1997, the 150th anniversary of the musician's death, and is operated by the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Foundation.
