Paramasivam Muralitharan

Paramasivam Muralitharan known as an artist, social worker and a person with great humanitarian personality was born and breed in 1975 at Batticaloa - Sri Lanka. Murali is an actor, producer, writer, painter and sculptor who started writing and directing stage dramas from his school days. He and his friends tried a short film named as "B team" in 1987 which could be the first short film initiated from Batticaloa. In 2021 Muralitharan established his production company: Visual Art Movies and focusing on producing Mid-Length Movies (MLM) as a suitable strategy to develop local cinema commercially. The first Mid-Length Movie he produced and screened in Batticaloa was "Mayai Mara". In continuation, he wrote and produced "Thalarathavan" which gave a commercial victory and sets many records in the Batticaloa commercial cinema history. Muralitharan also received state awarded as "Young Artist" from the provincial department of Cultural affairs in 2021 for his contribution.
