Tomas Hruska

Screenwriter, director, producer. He studied script-writing and dramaturgy at Prague FAMU. During his studies he made several short films and a medium-length sci-fi comedy Inseminator. After graduation, he worked as a copywriter and director on a number of commercial projects orders. For several years he also worked as a lecturer in the Free Cinema educational project he organized film courses for the public. He also lectured on screenwriting and direction at the universities in Pilsen and Ústí nad Labem. In 2018, he founded the film production Blue Hills Pictures, in which the short film Last Lesson by Italian director Francesco Borchi was made, which was screened at a number of foreign festivals. This production is currently completing an Albanian-Czech feature film by Jonid Jorgji.
