The Bible are a rock group that were founded in Cambridge in 1985. Originally a partnership with Boo Hewerdine and Tony Shepherd, more band members joined to expand the group. Mainstream commercial success evaded the band, with their biggest chart hit, 1989's "Graceland", reaching No.51 in the UK charts. Being unable to financially support their ventures, the band split in the 90s and went their separate ways. However, they have occasionally reformed, with the group getting back together in 2011 and engaging in several tours.
