Biography

Jacob Huggins was born on December 3, 1990 in Hampton, Virginia and grew up in an Army household with 3 of his siblings. He had always wanted to go into acting, but wasn't given the chance until there was a local production. At the age of 16, Jacob was able to land several roles in the production of a Central Virginia film called "Pilgrim's Progress: Journey to Heaven" (2008). The film was based off of the allegorical story "Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan. In this film he was able to work on the set's art department team, as well as performing as an extra in the film's courthouse scene, where Faithful is sentenced to death. On top of his love for acting, Jacob loves to travel. He fell in love with world travel after he first left the country at the age of 16 to assist in teaching English at a Summer Camp in Xi'an, China. From 2018-2020 Jacob was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the country of Georgia (Saqartvelo). During his service he taught English at a public school in the city of Zugdidi and participated in many other projects, while also learning the local Georgian alphabet/language (qartuli). Fun Fact: In the film "Pilgrim's Progress: Journey to Heaven" (2008), there was a moment's notice on set decision to use Jacob as a stunt double! Instead of using objects as a weight, the director made a decision to use Jacob as the weight in the body bag that is seen after Faithful (played by actor Terry Jernigan) was burned to death at the stake.
