Don't call her inspiring...Just call her a woman with athetoid cerebral palsy. Maureen will tell you that her muscles don't function properly, but that doesn't mean she can't play a guitar. Her speech might be difficult to understand, but it doesn't mean she has less intellect. Maureen's disability doesn't define her; it never will. What does define her is her love for her family and friends, her passion to compose incredible music, and her fire to have a place in this world to create change where the collective population will some day accept people with disabilities as people who are just people with bodies and minds that are unique....
