Ryan Guthrie

Hailing from Newport News, VA, Ryan Guthrie spent his early years devoted to cartoons, booze, Star Trek, and the ladies...of comic book and fantasy novels. Since then he's done the self-avowed "adult thing" by choosing paying for electricity over comics, and has shifted his focus to nerd television and movies. Ryan also participates regularly in fan discussions. He can often be found on Facebook espousing his opinions or refuting those of others. He maintains the Geekstranger website. He is also a frequent convention-goer, being a mainstay of Dragoncon in Atlanta, GA and until recently Phoenix Fan Fusion in Phoeniz, AZ. He is also a frequent podcast contributor, having participated on the Shauncastic and Revcast/Revnews podcasts. Since 2017 he has been a frequent contributor to The 42cast where he delights in playing the nemesis to host, Nathan Laws. When not involved in geeky pursuits, Ryan unsuccessfully tries to avoid hurricanes in the Houston, TX area where he lives with his wife, two cats, and countless, unfinished projects.
