Emre Gaviyel

Emre Gaviyel was born in 1997 in a village in Gumushane, Turkey. After spending his childhood years in his village, he moved to Samsun for Education. As a child, he developed an interest in art and began writing poetry. His poems have been published in art magazines. He was interested in music. He learned to play various instruments such as guitar, clarinet, harmonica. But he had a difficult childhood, as his family and surroundings did not support his interest in art. He began studying mysticism, pantheism, theology and Arabic philosophy in various communities and schools and he's had work on them. During his travels, he discovered his interest in photography with the camera he carried with him. Because of his interest in art and his work, he met various artists such as musicians, painters, poets. He made Video clips. He started his first individual film studies.. He organized photography exhibitions. In 2013, he traveled to major cities such as Istanbul and Ankara to see the cinema sector. He started his film career as a cameraman on various projects. He engaged in advertising projects to earn a living. And soon began directing. But it wasn't what he wanted. For a short time, he said goodbye to the advertising industry where he was located. In 2016, he shot his first independent art work "Today" in Samsun. He received an offer for a documentary to be shot in South Africa. Despite having an advanced insect phobia, he accepted this offer. And found 3 months in 2016 in various insect and Scorpion shots. In 2018, he wrote and shot the medium-length film "Letafet Street" in Samsun. He saw the film" Letafet Street " as a new beginning for himself. In 2018, he wrote and shot the film "Tomorrow" , a sequel to "today". He wrote the screenplay for his first feature film in 2020. And began pre - production work on this film. The young director continues his film career as an Auteur.
