Don Asiri Manupiya Samarasinghe

Don Asiri Manupiya Samarasinhe, is a Dramatist, an Independent Filmmaker and a Writer living in Italy. After his Higher Education he studied Drama and Theatre at the "Children & Youth Academy" and at "The Workshop Place" in Colombo. His debut theatre production "Here is the rose, You Dance Here" won numerous awards including the awards for Best Production, Best Direction, Best Screenplay at the National Youth Drama Festival, National Drama Festival and at the Drama Festival of the University of Jayawardhanapura, Sri Lanka. Film L' Isola del Nirvan" is his first feature film.
