Biography

Nathan S Laws is an engineer, writer, and podcaster. Born in Mountain View, CA in 1980 Nathan's earliest memories are of watching Star Trek and Star Wars. In 1985, he watched his first Doctor story, The Seeds of Doom. Doctor Who soon replaced Star Trek as his favorite TV show, a status it retains to this day. Nathan also showed an early interest in writing, often writing two to three times what his teachers requested for writing projects. In ninth grade, his freshman English teacher nurtured this interest by taking him to a writing seminar. Despite majoring in engineering, Nathan also took several creative and technical writing classes in college. This effort culminated in his first published short story, Legacy, in Earth Station One: Tales of the Station Vol. 2 (2017). Nathan's podcasting career began while assisting his friend, Shaun Rosado, with the Shauncastic podcast, first as a panelist then as an editor and then as a co-producer. From there Nathan also guested on Earth Station One, Earth Station Who, The Revcast, and that Girl with the Curls. Not content to guest on other podcasts, Nathan created The 42cast in 2017 as a way of celebrating the many varied interests that he and his friends share. In 2020 Nathan wanted to do a new podcast to celebrate his love of Doctor Who. Partnering with his friend, Juliette Vincent, he created Timestreams. In this podcast Nathan and Juliette comment on every episode of Doctor Who from the beginning to the present.
