Yessenia Calderon

Yessenia Calderon is an Animator, Character Designer, and Storyboard Artist. She is from Chicago, Illinois. She received her BFA in Animation with a Concentration in Cinema at DePaul University. One of her goals is too animate heartwarming and inspiring stories at Pixar Animation. Yessenia writes, creates, and produces her own original work while freelancing in various capacities in the areas of project management, real estate, and non-profit organizations. She also worked for an independent author on the novel, GLIMPSES, and designed the book cover and trailer. Yessenia's previous animation film, "CO-KEE!" was released in the Summer of 2021 and has received more than a dozen awards worldwide. Some of Yessenia's upcoming projects besides KNIGHTLIGHTS & TEDDY BEARS include being a Sound Designer on the upcoming short film, CHISMOSAS. In her spare time, Yessenia explores her Puerto Rican roots, cooks, dances, and is a co-creator and host of the EXPRESSO THOUGHTS podcast.
