Biography

Kentucky native Kyle Merritt Lake, after living in NJ for 7 years incorporated Prosper Media Group in Kentucky in 2004. He and his small media collaborative have created over 50 TV series for PBS affiliate KET. Kyle is proud to have worked with a variety of nonprofit agencies and through this work, in 2011, he began kNOwMORE Nonprofits which has since developed into a statewide Emmy Award-Winning series having been nominated 6 times. Twenty episodes of the educational television series air weekly on PBS affiliate, Kentucky Educational Television. Kyle serves as director and co-host of his newest project, Downstream, another Emmy Award-Winning, educational travel series focusing on Kentucky's Liquids: rivers, lakes, streams as well as distilleries, breweries and wineries. His company produced 14 episodes of the news series, Inside Northern Kentucky for the Northern Kentucky Tribune, also airing on KET and has produced the syndicated television series, Biblion: Bible Mysteries Revealed. He was recognized for a Telly award while working with the New Jersey Network and in 2011, he received an Empixx Creativity Award for his work on a promotional video for NYT best-selling author Karen Rose. He has been recognized by the Lexington Venture Club and Commerce Lexington for his entrepreneurial work with Done In Sixty Seconds and received the Kentucky Enterprise Fund grant from the Kentucky Science & Technology Corporation for his work with Done In Sixty Seconds®. Kyle is a member of the National Academy for Television Arts & Science and is a regional Emmy awards judge. Through this work Kyle recognized the need for efficient, effective and economical media production that could be available to anyone at any time. In 2008, he launched and filed a patent for Done In Sixty Seconds, LLC®, an online technology where organizations can create custom videos with a quick turn-around at a low cost. The company has gained many new partnerships and services clients from Los Angeles to Boston to the United Kingdom to Israel. In 2017 he launched Done In 360, utilizing innovative 360 degree virtual reality camera technology. Kyle has served as board chair for the Explorium Children's Museum, Family Counseling Service, Get Healthy Kentucky and United Way's Get On Board advisory council. He has also served on committees with IN2LEX, LYPA and sits on the boards of Bluegrass Tomorrow.. He was awarded LYPA's Rising Star Award in 2006 and a Bluegrass Tomorrow Vision Award in 2013. In 2011 he started the community dining club, Food Amongst Friends which continues to grow membership in the Lexington, KY area. When not starting companies or making videos, Kyle earned a B.A. in Communications, Television and Theater Production from The College of New Jersey where in 1998 he founded the Prosper Production Company. Following PR work as a Treasury Agent for the state of New Jersey, Kyle relocated to Lexington, KY where he received a scholarship to complete his Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing and management from the University of Kentucky Gatton School of Business and Economics. Kyle owns a small farm in the peaceful horse country of Lexington where he prioritizes time with family; working on two old and quite cantankerous classic cars and has set a goal to always travel to two new places each year. Through these efforts he has visited all 50 states and has only one continent left to see!
