Irene Mercadal

Irene is an independent filmmaker from Talca, Chile, based in NYC. She started to make experimental and documentary films while studying Film Aesthetics and Audiovisual Communication at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Between 2016 and 2018, Irene worked in the Documentary Film Production Company Pez. In 2018, Irene started exploring fiction and joined the prestigious Grad Film program at NYU Tisch. She has ever since worked in numerous films, both as writer/director and as cinematographer.
