Gabriela Iancu

Gabriela Iancu is a Romanian-born photographer and filmmaker, whose work focuses on the intersection of creative technology, art innovation, and storytelling. She produces, directs and shoots both fiction and non-fiction photography and film content aiming at creating unexpected narratives with specific mood and perspective. Gabriela is a finalist in the 2019 NASA CineSpace with her short documentary film "Apollo 11", and the recipient of the 2017 SCAD Alumni Atelier ambassadorship for her immersive multimedia piece "Experiences from the Outside World", a unique combination between still-life photography, motion, and sound design. In 2016, she was selected for the Award of Excellence in the 57th Communication Arts Photography Annual Competition in California, and in 2015 she was a finalist in the Huffington Post New York Multimedia Fellowship with her short experimental film "Welcome to Braggsville". Gabriela has an MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
