Heath McCarthy

Heath Roderick Aguilar, known professionally as Heath McCarthy is an Australian Director, Composer, Writer, Producer and Actor. McCarthy has kept a low-profile while pursuing his endeavours. Stating "since early childhood, an ongoing battle against personal demons, an impecunious upbringing, insomnia and PTSD was interrupting the growth necessary to become a better person, and a better artist.'' Guided by his mentor, Academy Award Nominated, multi-platinum GRAMMY Award winning songwriter/producer Gregg Alexander, McCarthy developed his artistry and a versatile songwriting ability. ''I owe everything to Gregg. He gave me a chance when no one else would. Without him, I wouldn't be here today.'' In 2020, McCarthy wrote and recorded an original song titled "Masquerade". Met with positive reception, McCarthy developed the concept and wrote a screenplay inspired by the record with New York-based writer and acquisition executive Joshua Alexander Guttman of Steiner Studios.
