Ahmari Ly-Johnson

Biography

Ahmari Ly-Johnson is an African-American Hispanic writer and director. His short post apocalyptic animated film Frank (3 min), was officially selected for both the Boston Short Film Festival and the Somerville short film festival (2018). He has expanded the short into a series and will complete it in 10 min episodes. Ahmari has worked as a videographer/ photographer for such non-profit organizations as Sisters Unchained and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. He works closely with one of Sisters Unchained's founding members as an editor for the documentary short Eternally Misunderstood (15mins) which has screened at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston College, Umass, and Dartmouth College. Ahmari runs a YouTube channel under the title Adventures Ensue where he posts his short films. Ahmari is currently in school earning his B.F.A in Film at School of Visual Arts, 2022.
