Sofia D'Annunzio

Biography

Sofia D'Annunzio is a production manager based in Los Angeles, California. She is passionate about helping people bring their creative visions to life. Her career started in theatre at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts at Hamilton High School, where she trained vocally in their Women's Choir for three years, as well as producing and crewing productions, and stage managing musicals, including In the Heights and Guys and Dolls. Sofia earned her BFA in Stage Management in 2022 at USC's School of Dramatic Arts (SDA) and was awarded the James B. Pendleton Award for her outstanding contribution. While there, she stage managed productions including Black Sky (MFA New Works Festival), Body of Faith, and In the Red and Brown Water. She also worked in the SDA Events Office alongside events manager, Jennifer Franco, helping to organize over 15 annual events, including Commencement, assist in ticketing for the production season, and communicate important information to the student body. During her time at USC, she was in charge of many productions at various theaters around LA, including the Blank Theatre, Broadwater Theatre, and Ruskin Group Theatre Co. In 2019, she started working as a production coordinator for Get Lit- Words Ignite, where she is responsible for scheduling, organizing and managing film sets, live events, and their podcast, Get Lit Minute. Over the past few years, Sofia has worked on over a dozen film productions through USC's School of Cinematic Arts and independently as a producer, assistant director, and script supervisor. Films include D-Day for Denise, Crafted Image, and A Long Awaited Conversation. She resides in LA with her thriving snake plant and her rescue cat, Milo.
