Marcela Fossati is an actress born in Chile, raised in Spain, Italian-Israeli dual nationality and, at present, lives in Barcelona. She has a long and solid professional career as an actress and dancer. An international, multilingual and multifaceted actress, Marcela is in love with her profession and way of life.
Chilean by birth, I moved to Catalonia when I was one year old and grew up on the Costa Brava. I have both Italian and Israeli nationality, but after living in so many different realities over the years, I came to realize I can easily assimilate anywhere. At the age of ten I began to study piano, music theory and combo with my teacher, Isabel Membrillo. At the age of fifteen with theater director Josep Alum (my artistic father), I discovered my vocation for the world of acting; and at eighteen I started working as an actress and teacher. Later I studied at the Xavier Gratacós school in Barcelona while simultaneously falling in love with the world of dance. For this reason, when I finished my studies, I moved to Rome to train as a dancer and to become a 'street artist'. In Rome I studied with Cia Atacama, Jacky Meredin and at the IALS center. I did indeed become a street artist which was, without a doubt, my best school. As a street artist I learned to interact with the truth, since it was the only thing that captivated the public, thus opening their hearts and their pockets. During this powerful time, I met my life partner and the father of my son. Together we created a circus duo that toured in Brazil, India, Italy and Israel. After a few years we moved to Tel Aviv where I worked as a dancer in the prestigious Dafi Altabeb dance company and at the same time as as a percussionist, dancer and juggler in the Pyromania company, in Shigaon Haketsev company and in Cabaret Total Company. I founded Cia Triola and worked as an actress at Cia Adams. During these years of intense dedication and work, the desire to act in film and television began to grow. For this reason I learned Hebrew and studied chub buck technique with Shahar Rozen. I participated in different film projects under the direction of Nimrod Shanit, among others. I received Israeli nationality and, having mastered the Hebrew language, I managed to feel at home. For family reasons we decided to move to Spain, so I returned to the place where I grew up, from where I dedicate myself completely to my profession with determination, perseverance and passion
