Biography

Paul Dorrell is an art consultant and writer currently living and working in Kansas City, Missouri, known for helping artists land large commissions with clients such as Marvel Studios, the U.S. Capitol Building, and the Kansas City Chiefs. As the founder and president of Leopold Gallery Dorrell is often a collaborator on these projects, overseeing engineering and installation details, as well as well as contributing to the designs. His installations include works in blown glass, stainless steel, cast bronze, cold-cast aluminum, copper, and oil paintings. He is the author of a self-help book for artists, "Living the Artist's Life." Dorrell is President and Founder of the Leopold Gallery Educational Foundation, which underwrites financial and academic needs for high schools in the inner city, affording them books, computers, and art supplies. This philanthropic effort has impacted over 1300 students since 2006, helping many enroll in colleges and universities. Dorrell's passions are hiking the Rockies, mountain-biking, sky-diving and surfing. He has been married to Ann Griffith Dorrell since 1987. 07/06/2020
