Sanjeev Sood

A postgraduate from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune, Prof. Sanjeev Sood is a seasoned media professional with experience of more than 35 years as a Cinematographer, Director and Producer of films, videos and television programs. Besides Motion Picture Industries of Mumbai and Delhi has extensive international filming experience in over twenty countries. His work includes over a hundred documentaries, fiction films, television programs, TVCs, promos and corporate films. He is a fusion of films, the media industry and academics. He has been associated with several prestigious media institutions in the country where he conducted workshops and masterclasses in film making and motion picture photography at regular intervals. At present, in full-time employment with Sharda University, Greater NOIDA as a Professor in the School of Media, Film and Entertainment. He has also served as: . Member of 'Regional Screening Committee' of Films Division of India, Govt. of India for the screening of proposals from independent filmmakers for production of documentary films. . Member of film preview and selection committee for the 43rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) for participation in the 'International Competition' and 'Cinema of the World' sections of IFFI 2012 held at Goa. . Member of Jury for 'IDPA Awards for Excellence 2011-12' at Indian Documentary Producers' Association, Mumbai. . Member of the Advisory Board and Jury for 'International Film Festival of Shimla' for its 1st and 3rd editions in 2015 and 2017 respectively. . Chairman at a symposium on 'India-ASEAN Film Market-Co-Production Opportunities' in 'ASEAN-India Film Festival 2018' to explore areas of cooperation in cinema and culture.
