Benjamin Timothy Gobey

Benjamin Timothy Gobey - a young and ambitious man from Cheltenham (UK) who dreams about getting into the world of movies. Through his work, he wants to show that everyone, regardless of their background and life situation, can achieve success and make their dreams come true. Ben wants to show different facets of the film industry by his series of interviews. "My life wasn't easy but I don't give up and I truly believe that my project will make a change. I finished secondary school in July 2017 and a few months before I decided to attend 'The City of Heroes Comic Convention 3' in Telford, England. I successfully interviewed 6 actors and wrote their answers down which was to help me towards college courses later on. As a teenager, my passion was always acting so I thought that The BTG Interviews can help me and other young people to learn from the best actors in the UK how to become a member of the movie industry. Many teenagers feel a bit lost in clarifying their way in their work life. It isn't easy to follow your dreams if everyone around tells you to quit dreaming and carry on with 'normal' life." About the project The goal of the project is to interview actors (the beginners and the famous ones) to show the film industry form inside out and what you need to do (or even sacrifice) to become a famous actor, director or screenwriter. The target group is young people who want to enter the world of film. The aim is to disenchant the status of a star, to see that fame also means sweat and tears most of the time, awards come after hard work and after a lot of failures.
