Biography

Eli Meadow Ramraj's foray into the world of storytelling began at the age of nine, with novel writing. By age 14, Eli had self-published four novels. By age 18, Eli was a multi-award-winning high-school debater at the provincial and national level, had acted in five high school theatre productions (including "Sherlock Holmes" as Sherlock and "Beauty and the Beast" as the Beast), and had written and directed his first major short-film debut, "A Deaf Man's Symphony" (2019). Most recently, Eli began his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto on a full four-year National Scholarship - an award given to him in part because of his work on the short film. Eli is preparing to act and sing in "Crossing the Line," a musical touring across Canada in the summer of 2020. Eli is in production as writer and director of his next project, a 40-minute short film about vicarious trauma, entitled "I'm Still Here" (expected release in 2021). Eli Meadow Ramraj was born in Singapore, where he lived until the age of 13, with two years living in London, UK. He moved to Victoria, BC, Canada to finish high school, and now resides in Toronto, Canada where he is pursuing a major in Cinema Studies and a double-minor in philosophy and political science at the University of Toronto.
