She is originally from Malacca and completed her schooling in Malacca. She is a Tamilians and born into the Christian faith. She has three siblings. A brother and two sisters. She completed a diploma in nursing after. She is understood to have worked initially as a nurse of some nature. She began doing small ad promotions for the Indian community shops and stores.
