Like most of us, Josh Spurling started life as a baby in a small town which, by today's standards, is still called Indianapolis. By the age of 13, he was already a teenager and began writing music with no response. Six years later, he wrote some better music and joined a group of weirdos who referred to themselves as That One Band. Over the next 21 years, they created seven albums and one child, future voice actress and past theater director Emily Diamond. In 2010, Josh got his big break in show business when he appeared as an extra in a music video. Through his work on this video, he was discovered by his brother, writer/director/actor/brother Stephen Spurling. Josh was hired to compose music , but insisted on acting in, Stephen's new podcast, "The Rich and the Filthy." It was here that Josh met the love of his life, voice actress Erin Peris, whom he would later marry to avoid a scandal. Stephen was well known for his tyrannical directing, and the set was very tense. Fist fights broke out almost daily, and the cast often watched them on Youtube to relieve the stress between scenes. The success of the show lasted until it stopped being aired. At that point, Josh's whole life crumbled. He began sleeping in the gutter or, at least, in beds that had recently been in the gutter. It was then that he formed a now infamous band called Shamalamamonkey who keep writing songs about someone named Gussle. Currently, Josh often lives near his wife and daughter and spends his days writing this biography.
