Biography

Edoardo Nerboni is a swiss filmaker known for his work on Funny Face (2020), A te i miei occhi (2018) and Quella notte di inizio novembre (2020). Born in Lugano in 1998, Edoardo attended the International Conservatory of Audiovisual Sciences of Locarno (CISA), where he graduated in October 2018 as Designer in Visual Design, Major in Film. His professional introduction to the world of cinema came with the direction of two documentaries during the high school period: the first one about contemporary art and the following, about the Rom population of Rosia village, in Romania. In 2015 Edoardo took part of the Youth Jury of the 68th Locarno Film Festival (5th - 15th August) and for the International Festival of Youth Cinema, Castellinaria (Bellinzona, Switzerland). The year after becomes a member of the "Classe du cinema" at the 32nd edition of the Festival International du Film d'Amour de Mons, Belgium. He worked in the Social Media team during the last four editions of the Locarno Festival (2017, 2018 and 2019) creating daily video content summary of the day. Edoardo worked as a Production assistant on set and as a post-production trainee in the post production process, from December 2018 to June 2019 at Who's McQueen Pictures in Zurich (CH), a video production company for Commercial and Documentary. He moved to New York in September 2019 where he worked on the movie by Tim Sutton "Funny Face", selected in February 2020 for the competition Encounters at the 70th Berlinale.
