Jeff Gray

Biography

Dr. Jeff Gray is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Alabama. His research interests include topics in software engineering and Computer Science (CS) education. Since 2003, he has provided K-12 CS outreach activities for students (e.g., camps, contests, science fair mentoring) and teachers (various professional development workshops). He was an original Board of Education Advisor for Code.org and still serves as a facilitator for their CS Fundamentals training (K-5). Jeff is an ACM Distinguished Member and NSF CAREER award recipient. He is the Co-Chair of Governor Kay Ivey's CS Advisory Council and also a member of the Alabama STEM Council. Jeff has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal on Software and Systems Modeling since 2014.
