Roger Iverson Jr.

Biography

The son of public school teachers, Roger grew up near Gig Harbor, Washington. His first acting experience was at ten. He performed in every show and event throughout middle and high schools then studied theater at Pacific Lutheran University with Bill Becvar. Most of his work was on local and regional stages around the Puget Sound involving comedy, drama, improvisation, classical, musical and opera. He was a featured concert soloist as well. His favorite roles were: Willum Cubert in "The Nerd", the French soloist in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", Richard Henry Lee in "1776", Adam in "The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)" and Jesus in "Godspell" -of course. He taught summer drama class to youth and wrote several plays, of which two are any good. Mostly, he wrote about his four miracle babies and his amazing former wife. He cherished his life among his theater friends who, as he said, are the only humans alive who know why we exist.
