Cat Clarke

Cat Clarke is a screenwriter and best-selling, award-winning author of seven YA novels. Born in Zambia and based in Edinburgh, she has a distinct voice, capturing both humour and darkness. Cat is developing her latest novel, We Are Young, for a UK broadcaster with Lime Pictures, and developing her novel A Kiss in the Dark (co-written with Alan McDonald) with Hopscotch Films. Her shark film, Something in the Water, is due to go into production in 2021 with Studiocanal. She also has a YA drama in development with Headline Pictures. Her comedy drama TV script, Not Suitable for Children, was featured in the 2019 Brit List for the best unproduced scripts in the UK and is now in development with Braintrust. In 2020, Cat participated in the writers room and wrote an episode for the British series of Call My Agent.
