Stefan was born and raised in Sombor, Serbia where in high school, he graduated from the department of music production and sound design, from the Music School "Petar Konjovic. He received his Bachelor's degree in Media Management from the Union - Nikola Tesla University in Belgrade.
His love for storytelling and film originates when Stefan was twelve years old and he discovered the wonders of capturing images and screening them to his friends and family. Creating short films and sketches were Stefan's idea of playing. Soon enough he decided to pursue this dream further, and it's safe to say he has been playing ever since. Over the years his original narrative films, as well as documentaries dealing with bold and sensitive topics, have gained attention in Serbia and across Europe.
At 16 years old he wrote & directed a 45 min. film "The Violin" which was shown at the National Theatre. He has worked with professionals in the music industry both domestically and internationally. Some of his work include a music video starring a Croatian singer Tony Cetinski.
His documentary film "Voices of Refugees", produced with the support from European Youth Forum had it's premiere at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France. It was shown in 17 countries worldwide, receiving an award for the best short film at the festival in Paris.
Most recently, being awarded a Fulbright scholarship in the United States, Stefan is excited at the opportunity to further pursue his dreams of writing and directing feature films for an international audience, as well as attaining extensive knowledge and experience necessary to achieve these goals.
