Luke De Weert

Luke de Weert is a professional paragliding pilot from the Netherlands. At the age of 7, his father showed him the beauty of the sport in multiple tandem flights. Reaching the age of 14, making his first solo flight after a lot of hours practicing at his home place on the beach. Where very soon after, his father took him to the mountains in Annecy to show him what it really feels like to be a bird. Luke competed in his first Acro World Tour season and ended up with an overall position as 5th place. This was an eye-opener for him because from this moment on he realized that his dreams just became way bigger than he ever expected. And it showed in 2021 where Luke competed in his first World Championships and finished proudly on the 3rd place on the podium. But that was not all because the same year he also finished the Acro World Tour season on the 2nd place!
