Victor Lau is a Professional Dancer born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. He began his dance training at the early age of 12 when he was immersed in street dance culture. He instantly fell in love and committed his early years to training in Hip hop, Waacking, Locking and Bboying which transpired to battling. By the age of 16, Victor had earned numerous titles such as World of Dance Vancouver Waacking champion and Honour-Roll Waacking champion.
His diverse training and experience in street dance, as well as competitive and ambitious nature led him to becoming a captain and choreographer for TwoFourSeven Company. His immense knowledge of choreography, blocking and staging has helped the team place 1st in World renowned competitions such as Body Rock and World Of Dance Los Angeles. With this team, Victor has performed across North America, represented Canada at the World Hip Hop Championships and competed on NBC's America's Got Talent.
More recently, Victor was privileged to dance behind artists such as Ashanti, Sarah Jeffery, Alex Newell and many more. His talents brought him countless experiences working with numerous industry professionals such as Kenny Ortega, Mandy Moore, Luther Brown, Trey Fanjoy, Jamal Sims, Paul Becker and Jillian Meyers.
When Victor isn't working on set, he devotes his time to his students. He has had the opportunity to share his craft across North America, teaching master classes in LA, San Francisco and throughout western Canada. He now teaches Weekly drop-ins at Studio North and Harbour Dance Centre. Victor strives to nurture, inspire and pass on his knowledge to the next generation.
