Varadaraja V. Raman

Emeritus Professor of Physics and Humanities at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and winner of the prestigious 2006 Raja Rao Award for outstanding contributions to the literature and culture of the South Asian Diaspora. He has lectured and written on his Indian heritage and culture and authored numerous books, book reviews and articles on science and religion. He is noted as having a "long-running interest in questions of science and religion", having written on the Hindu religion, especially as to how it relates to modern science.
