Mireille Sylvester

Mireille Sylvester is an award-winning documentary director, producer, and editor known for The 'S' Word (2019), Urban Inuk (2019), and Family Affair (2019). Mireille's short films have aired on CBC Toronto, and have been selected for festivals such as the St. John's Women's International Film Festival, the Toronto Short Film Festival, the Women's Film Festival in Brattleboro, Vermont. Her most recent documentary "The 'S' Word" won an award of excellence at the One Reeler Short Film Festival in Los Angeles. Mireille's areas of interest include women's rights, Indigenous issues, and mental health advocacy.
