Mauro de Souza

Mauro de Souza is a filmmaker born in Recife, Brazil. His unparalleled passion for production design and eternal curiosity as a storyteller are his signatures when turning dreams into action. A hard-working set decorator, his credits in the art department include the short films Pour One Out for Me, The Trial of Wild Bill, Ding Dong, The Filter, and Dinner, along with the feature film Stardust. He is also a skillful documentary producer, having under his belt the short documentaries Beò, This-Ability, and Bilau, which he also directed. He currently manages the future developments of 3REC, a production company he co-founded along with partners Bosco da Costa and Julia Arruda.
