Digant is an upcoming Indian screenwriter based out of Satara and after completing his master's in Physics, Digant went on to pursue research in Theoretical Physics from IIT Bombay. His first feature-length screenplay titled Guilt, inspired from his experiences during his time at IIT bagged the second prize in Cinestaan, India's nationwide script contest for 2020 wherein his script was reviewed by screenwriting patrons like Juhi Chaturvedi, Anjum Rajabali, and Rajkumar Hirani. Guilt unravels the story of a young Ph.D. student whose suicide triggers several theories as peers close to him try to process their grief and guilt. As part of his audiovisual production course in college, he made a documentary titled Devdasi - a Tale of God's Very Own. Digant started his writing career by working on a few Marathi TV shows and most recently wrote dialogues for the Marathi TV show Premacha Game Same 2 Same which aired on Star Pravah. He recently finished writing a novel - a drama about a nihilist writer struggling with the idea of success, which is set to be published soon. Apart from writing, Digant is also a trained tabla player and continues to perform at concerts. He is currently working on his feature ideas as well as working in a writer's room with a leading Indian production house.
