Ali Murat Güven

Turkish (male) film critic, cinema historian, investigative journalist, scriptwriter and documentary filmmaker. He was born in Istanbul, Turkey in March 7, 1968. He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Mass Media and Journalism, Department of Cinema & TV in 1990. He completed his master's degree on cinema at the same university. Since then he has been working in Turkish media and has official lifetime press card. He has several books and awards on cinema-TV. His areas of expertise are documentary cinema, Turkish mainstream cinema, American mainstream cinema, Turkish low-budget B cinema, science fiction and horror cinema, global films that have used Turkey and Istanbul as filming locations.
