Iuma Martinez

Iuma Martinez is an independent filmmaker based in Cape Town (South Africa). She was born to Spanish and Brazilan parents and grew up in New Jersey, New York. Later the family immigrated to SA and she studied earth sciences (Bsc., Hons., Msc.) and engineering (PhD) at the University of Cape Town (UCT). Her projects include: Unmute Dance Group (2014), Killer on the Run (2016), Forest Drive (2019) and the feature film Johnny's Upstairs (in development.)
