Deryck Smith

Deryck Smith (born January 29, 1992) being multi-talented, is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, director, and musician. He performs music under the stage name Iland(pronounced like the word island). He was born Deryck Anthony Smith at Teaneck Hospital, New Jersey and the state of New Jersey is also where he was raised. Deryck's love for music and passion for show business would lead him to pursue a career in acting. He started creating music at a young age but didn't take it seriously until he was in early teens. After graduating high school he attended IAR (Institute of Audio Research) to study music engineering. Constructing instrumentals and lyrical content for himself as well as others he developed his own sound. If you ever hear what they call a "tag" In the music industry that states "This too easy to be legal" or " I must say, that breeze feels good" then you have experienced an iLand production. To explain Deryck's passion for acting I would need an endless life. His favorite genres are Comedy, Suspense, Action Thriller, Documentaries and the occasional Rom-Com. He states " I appreciate all genres and bodies of work, as long as you remain believable". Although hilarious and goofy, he's extremely versatile and will execute any role you throw at him. His first acting debut will be in the new horror film Hank.
