Mansour-Jacques Hagerstrand Jallow (born January 9, 1983) is an African Swedish actor, former athlete and fighter, a rapper and songwriter.
His father was Senegalese and a commando marine and commander in the Senegalese Army and also a machine engineer and his mother an entrepreneur and housewife from Gambia.
Mansour was moved and relocated to Sweden by the age of six to start a new life. It was very difficult for him in the first years because he had left everything he knew to this new and foreign Swedish lifestyle. Mansour and his father were very close and he missed him dearly but his father couldn't join him in Sweden due to his high rank in the army and was denied by the former Senegalese president Abdou Diouf to leave the country.
Mansour became however very interested in sports and was noticed very early by one trainer from the Swedish National Team who then led him to coach "Palmas" (Anders Palmqvist) who took Mansour under his wings when he was 13 years and he was promising and won several local competitions but many things changed in his life when his father died in 1995. He took it hard and was distracted from both school and his training. And then something else would have a great impact on his and the entire Swedish country lives forever. The huge disco fire in Gothenburg city that took place during the nights between Thursday 29th and Friday 30th of October 1998. The fire that took 63 young kids lives and almost including Mansour's own life. This fire turned to an inferno in the matter of seconds and almost crippled Sweden.
Mansour was rescued by a smoke diver from one of the many fire stations in Gothenburg to which he owes his life. He was later admitted to hospital for up to a month for lung injuries and rehabilitation of his lungs. Just the year after he competed in 110m hurdles at The Swedish School Championship and won against the top three champions and got promised a spot in the national team but decided to quit running when he became homeless for the first time at the age of 15. He started having problems with the law but he had nothing and no one to turn to for help. And that's when he started to fend for himself. He did all and everything he could to survive on his own. He got his first child in 2004 and his second the year after. He then jumped out of school to find work but he eventually picked up his studies again at a university where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Behavioural science 2012. He took some acting classes and night school and studied on distance for four years. In 2013 he met a Swedish and Thai girl by the name Marie who became Mrs. Hagerstrand Jallow June 21st 2014 and they got their first daughter Latifah in May 15th 2020. Marie is CEO and co-founder of her and his beauty salon (Beauty And The Best).
Now she is a stay home mom and running the business from home whilst Mansour is working to provide for his family and pursuing his acting career.
